DHL Global Forwarding Houston Facility Update
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those individuals affected by Hurricane Harvey. With Harvey’s disastrous effects in Southeast Texas and the expected continuous rainfall and flooding, logistics and freight forwarding services in and out of the area are expected to be hampered for the foreseeable future as damages to the city will be assessed over the coming days.
As of now, DHL Global Forwarding’s Houston office will remain closed until deemed safe for employees to return to work. Our building has withstood the storm thus far and is under both personnel Security and CCTV surveillance. All cargo is safe and intact. Our Houston team is regularly in touch with our customers, most of them remain closed due to weather.
Information outlining operational contingency planning for customers local to Houston, as well as those who do business with our Houston facility is underway. We will be issuing updates until the Houston office is fully operational. In the meantime, our colleagues in Dallas are handling Air Freight and Los Angeles is managing the Ocean Freight support. Please keep in mind that responses will be slow. Your ongoing support is highly appreciated and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
