Increase of Fuel Surcharge to Select Destinations in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America
For the past months, the global jet fuel and crude oil prices have continued to steadily increase. The U.S. Gulf
Kerosene-Type Jet Fuel Spot Price further rose from $1.42 per gallon in July 2017 to $1.82 per gallon in December, a +28.2 percent increase.
As a result, DHL Global Forwarding has received increases in the fuel surcharges of our airline partners which will be reflected in an increase in DHL Global Forwarding’s own Standard Fuel Surcharges, effective January 22, 2018:
DHL Global Forwarding U.S. Fuel Surcharges:
|Service/Destination||Currency||Current Rate||New Rate||Effective Date|
|USA International Air Freight||USD||1.05||1.10||22 January, 2018|
|USA to South America Air Freight||USD||1.17||1.27||22 January, 2018|
|USA to Central America, Maxico and Caribbean Air Freight||USD||0.95||n/a||n/a|
|USA to Australia Air Freight||USD||1.25||n/a||n/a|
|USA to Israel Air Freight||USD||0.96||n/a||n/a|
These increases will be applicable to all customers with rates based on the Standard Fuel Surcharge and shipments to the destinations in scope.
We will continue to work with our airline partners to keep rates at a competitive level. Should the fuel surcharges of our carriers reduce, we will make downward adjustments accordingly. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
