With almost 14 years of experience in the logistics area, Maurício Barros takes over the presidency of the company

DHL Supply Chain, the world leader in logistics, warehousing and distribution, announces the name of its new president in Brazil. Maurício Barros takes over the presidency of the company in 2017, after serving in several leadership positions within the company. This position formally belonged to Javier Bilbao, who was promoted to CEO of the company in Latin America at the same time.

Barros holds a degree in Economics from Universidade Católica de Salvador, and a MBA in Finance from FGV. The executive joined DHL in 2002 and since then has held several positions in the areas of finance and business development. In 2010, he became the Vice President of Finance for Latin America, working at the headquarters of DHL Supply Chain Latin America, located in the USA. In 2013, Barros returned to Brazil in the position of Vice President of Operations for the Retail and Consumer Area, where he remained until his promotion to President.

“I am sure to lead DHL Supply Chain to even higher levels despite a challenging market environment. I intend to focus on new solutions and improve our processes and teams, always seeking to deliver greater value to customers. Even though some macroeconomic uncertainties may prevail, DHL is ready for the new growth curve of the Brazilian economy that, though timidly, has recently started to appear”, says Maurício Barros.
